SurroundIQ uses these technologies to maintain secure authenticated dashboard sessions, remember display preferences (such as light or dark themes), and accelerate widget performance on high-traffic property portals.
2. Categories of Storage We Use
A. Essential Authentication & Security
These tokens (such as siq_token) verify your identity when you access the SurroundIQ administrative dashboard. They enable secure API requests and safeguard your workspace configurations.
B. User Preferences & Theme Memory
Our theme selector stores your choice (siq_theme: light or dark mode) in LocalStorage so the website renders instantly with your preferred appearance on subsequent visits without screen flashing.
C. High-Speed Widget Registry Caching
On customer websites embedding our SDK, the widget caches authorized listing URLs (siq_reg_[key]) for a 5-minute TTL. This prevents redundant network round-trips and ensures sub-millisecond execution without bogging down host page performance.
3. Third-Party Tracking & Advertising
SurroundIQ does not place third-party advertising tracking cookies or participate in cross-site behavioral tracking networks. We believe B2B SaaS infrastructure should be lean, private, and respectful of user data.
4. Managing Your Preferences
Most modern web browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies and LocalStorage via browser developer tools and privacy settings. Please note that disabling essential authentication storage will prevent logging in to the administrative portal.
